Wow. I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post. I'm in school and it kicks ass. I didn't realize how young everybody was. It's weird. I felt like most people in my classes were closer to my own age, but I'm finding out they are all at least five years younger than me and have never not been in school (how's about that double negative).

So, I had a freeing experience in my English class. I've always been pretty reserved when it comes to anything having to do with sex. Then we had this exercise in my English class to take a sentence and expand on it. We had to add details. I don't remember what the first three sentences were, but the last one really caught my eye. "Then I had a tawdry affair." I dove in head first and related the experience of one of my "tawdry" affairs. After a few minutes our profesor stopped us from writing and asked us to break off into small groups. The instructions were to share what you had written and then discuss it. I read second and my group just about flipped. We spent the rest our group time discussing the paragraph. After our group time, she had us return to the full class and then called on one person from each group to share. My group was pretty psyched to have me read mine. I did. I felt such a release from it. When I finished reading, I looked around the class and there quite a number of red faces. The response was excellent, but the reaction was priceless. I went home that day and wrote a fictional story of seduction. Perhaps sometime in the near future I'll post both. I think they're pretty rockin'.

You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably
the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who
tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is
something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you
are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

I decided to break from tradition and not wait a year to post.

My new and fabulous job (which is dull and boring...and not really new anymore) is starting to turn into my old job. People are getting cranky and the demands from the top are getting outrageous. I guess the only comfort is people are not swearing at me ... yet.

GOOD NEWS:

I have been accepted to college
I have paid off the loan on my car
I have been recruited to be a Town Meeting Representative for my town district

I feel all grown up all of a sudden. I really hate these moments. These times when you are shuffling through life and are either mildly amused or mildly enjoying it and WHAM! like a bug on a windshield it hits you. You have to be responsible now.
